식(食) 생활은 인간에게 필수인만큼, 식기의 역사는 신석기 시대까지 거슬러 올라갑니다. 우리가 역사 교과서에서 자주 접했던 ‘빗살무늬토기’가 대표적인 시작이라고 할 수 있습니다. 식기는 다양한 재료와 형태로 시대상의 반영하며 발전해왔는데요, 이 모든 과정 속에는 음식을 ‘잘’ 먹기를 바라는 우리의 진심이 담겨 있지 않을까 생각해봅니다.
