정철호 도예가는 불 속에서 소성한 후 흙이 단단해지면서 생기는 깊이감 있는 아름다움에 빠져 지금까지 도자를 해오고 있습니다. 노정숙 도예가 역시 흙에 매력을 느껴 도자를 시작했는데요, 특히 입자가 고운 실크 소지의 백자를 가장 선호합니다. 고운 실크 소지를 작업하면서 느낄 수 있는 힐링을 나누고, 도자를 통해 많은 사람이 진심으로 행복하고 공감할 수 있기를 바랍니다.

Cheol-ho Jeung has been making ceramics ever since he was fascinated by the depth of beauty that comes from the hardening of clay after firing in a fire. Jeong-suk Noh is also fascinated by clay, and her favorite material is silk white porcelain clay with a fine-grained silkiness. They hope to share there healing while working with silk white porcelain clay and make many people feel sincerely happy and empathetic through their ceramics.
History
산신과 영물의 기운을 담아
전국시대까지 유래가 올라가는 호자의 용도는 주로 변기(요강)로 알려져 있습니다. 신선이나 황제가 호랑이의 입을 벌리게 하고 일을 보았다는 설화가 있기 때문이죠. 시간이 지나면서 호자는 이러한 쓰임을 넘어 영물 호랑이의 기운을 담아 전하는 오브제로 이어지고 있습니다.
With the energy of mountain gods and spirits
Dating back to the Warring States Period, the main use of hoja was as a Korean chamber pot(toilet). This is because there are stories of gods and emperors making tigers open their mouths to urinate. Over time, the use of hoja went beyond the toilet and became an object that conveyed the spirit of tiger.
